Community Charitable Service Boards
Footprints Across America is an organization made up of small business, non-profit, and church affiliates. These affiliates form a Footprints Across America coalition within their area, delineated by zip codes.
Within the boundaries of each coalition, a Community Charitable Service Board (CCSB) is formed. Small businesses are represented on the board, as it is their sponsorship that funds the coalition. Each small business has one representative, a board member whom they sponsor, on the CCSB. Non-Profits may request affiliation or they may be invited by the CCSB. Church affiliation is through their charitable projects and services. As with non-profits, churches may request affiliation or they may be invited by the CCSB. However, it will not be the church itself that will be approved or invited. It will be their charitable endeavor. Each non-profit and church affiliate is allowed one "affiliate board member". Affiliate board members differ from other board members only by the fact that they are not sponsored.
Anyone who lives within the boundaries of the CCSB, and who obtain a sponsor, are welcome to become board members. You do not have to be a board member to have your ideas heard by the CCSB.
Through the sharing of information, knowledge, experience, connections, human resources, and ideas, local charitable projects are started or supported.
The affiliate interaction is intended to help everyone. The community benefits from having a hub of resources for information and help, comprised of an organized, thoughtful, and dedicated group of people who understand their needs. As a group, the affiliates support one another. They provide each other customers and volunteers, as well as the intangibles such as advice, expertise, and friendship.
